Residential Conveyancer

Location: Cumbria
Closing Date: 30th November 2024

Burnetts is one of the most progressive law firms in the North of England and have not only achieved awards for being a Great Place to Work© each year from 2021, but also hold the accreditations for being one of the UK wide Best Workplaces for Women, for Wellbeing, and for Development.

Who are we looking for?

Due to the ongoing growth and development of the firm we are looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancer to join our Residential Conveyancing team, to work from either our Carlisle or Cockermouth offices.

We are keen to hear from both experienced Conveyancers and qualified Solicitors, Legal Executives or Licensed Conveyancers or those who are working towards qualification.  A full-time role is available, but we will also consider candidates looking for part time hours or a flexible working arrangement.

The successful candidate will deal with a wide range of residential conveyancing transactions including leasehold properties, unregistered titles, new builds and transfers of part of title.  Experience in using a case management system is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will have a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude to enable them to work closely with a team of legal fee-earners, paralegals and legal assistants on all aspects of this work.  The ability to work as part of a team is therefore essential together with excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.

What do we offer?

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate with the potential of longer-term career advancement in a forward-thinking law firm with a well-established client base. Along with this we will provide you with a competitive salary, pension, 30 days holiday and Private Medical Health Insurance; in addition, we will even give you your birthday off every year too!

Our values of Togetherness, Balanced, Accountable, Progressive and Integrity, help to engender a culture of providing excellent client service within a caring and supportive internal environment.
