Over 100 people attend Headway’s Look Ahead in the North
This year we were very proud to sponsor ‘Look Ahead in the North’ – an annual action-packed event for brain injury survivors and their families, organised by brain injury charity Headway.
Over 100 people attended the event at the Calvert Trust, Kielder – the majority of which were brain injury survivors and their families or carers – and enjoyed a range of adventures including fully accessible activities such as climbing, zip wire, archery and high ropes.
Our Partner and specialist brain injury Solicitor Paul Brown is Chair of Headway Wearside as well as elected secretary for both The United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum and the Northern Acquired Brain Injury Forum. Paul, who was lucky enough to attend this year’s event on the 17th March, said:
“I have been involved with this event since it started and each year it fills me with joy to see the Headway members, many of whom have had life changing brain injuries, get so much from this weekend. They are able to challenge themselves with fun, accessible activities in a supportive and safe environment.
“They get so much from the event socially and the friendships and camaraderie that the weekend provides. I’m very proud that Burnetts was the main sponsor of the event and has committed to support the Headway Look Ahead in the North Weekend again in 2025.”
