Ben Linklater
Trainee Solicitor
Ben is a Trainee Solicitor in our Residential Conveyancing team, based in Carlisle.
Originally from Teesside, Ben graduated from Northumbria University in 2021 with a First-Class Honours Degree in Law. He then went on to complete his Master of Laws in Legal Practice at the University of Sunderland, where he graduated in 2022 and achieved a distinction.
Before joining us, Ben worked as a Paralegal for Cleveland Police’s Legal Team, within the Disclosure & Operational Unit. His main responsibility was dealing with Family Court matters concerning the force. This work included responding to court orders for the disclosure of evidence in public and private proceedings, instructing counsel on behalf of the force, and personally managing cases involving Public Interest Immunity. Ben also spent a brief period of time working with lawyers on Domestic Violence Protection Orders in the Magistrates' Court.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys live events, playing badminton, and spending time with family and friends.
