Nicola is our Head of Newcastle, a Partner, and Head of our Banking and Property Finance team. She is recognised by Chambers and Partners as a Notable Practitioner.
Nicola is a banking lawyer and her main area of practice is advising in relation to finance and funding transactions. She has many years of experience in dealing with all the legal aspects of business funding, acting for a range of banks and other lenders, as well as advising corporate borrowers.
Her experience includes drafting and negotiating funding agreements, advising on security structures, drafting and negotiating security documents and generally providing advice on technical company law provisions in relation to funding transactions.
Nicola’s particular area of expertise is drafting bespoke loan agreements and security documents, and also advising on inter-creditor arrangements.
She has experience across all sectors including the funding of property acquisition and development transactions, the funding of corporate acquisitions and funding in the social housing, education and healthcare sectors.
Nicola is also a part of our Franchising team.
Nicola qualified as a solicitor in 1997. She previously worked for many years at Bond Dickinson and then at Muckle in Newcastle and joined us in 2021.
