Workington’s new Parkway cinema
The opening of the new Parkway Cinema in Workington is brilliant news for West Cumbria and something our Commercial Property team is proud to have been involved in.
Donald Dixon, Managing Director, J Dixon & Son Ltd – owners of Dunmail Park, said:
“We have enjoyed working with Parkway to bring a 21st Century cinema offer to Dunmail Park and it was a pleasure to assist in the official opening of the cinema last week. Parkway are providing a state of the art cinema offer for Workington and Cumbria with larger screens and luxury reclining seats.
“As a local family owned business, we pride ourselves in giving West Cumbria the best in entertainment and shopping, in this, our 140th year. Robbie and his team at Burnetts helped provide Commercial Property advice which allowed both parties to get a sound legal agreement reflecting the discussions between the two family businesses.”
Robbie Mather, our Head of Commercial Property said:
“Both Burnetts and J Dixon & Sons are long established businesses in Cumbria and it was a great privilege to have assisted in delivering a standout experience for the area. This is a good example of the kind of work we undertake for our portfolio clients in Cumbria and beyond, to ensure that when an opportunity arises which aligns well with their commercial ambitions, we recognise its importance and will deliver on it for them. Huge credit to those involved in the vision for the cinema and delivering upon it. Go and visit it, as it really is fab!”
