Mick Laffey joins our Serious Injury team
A senior solicitor with years of experience in the field of serious injury has taken up a new role within our Newcastle team.
Mick Laffey has joined us at our Newcastle office as Legal Director in our Serious Injury team, which specialises in cases where people have suffered catastrophic injuries.
Mick is well known in legal circles for his expertise and knowledge in his chosen field. He is a former chair of the Newcastle Trainee Solicitors’ Group and for 15 years has been a senior litigator for APIL – the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Mick has built a reputation over the years for his work in numerous serious injury cases, fighting for clients who have suffered brain, spinal or amputation injuries.
It is this track record that brought him to Burnetts.
“I wasn’t really looking for a new job but I was so impressed with how professional and friendly the company is and how it operates at such a high level that I knew I wanted to be part of it,” he said.
“This is a great opportunity and I am really looking forward to being part of such a fast-growing department.”
“We are delighted to have someone with Mick’s experience join our team,” said Spencer Knaggs, Head of our Medical Negligence and Serious Injury.
“He has had a hugely successful career to date and is the perfect fit for our extremely busy serious injury department.”
