A bumper financial year for our Corporate team…
The most recent financial year has proved to be a bumper one for our Corporate team, with the completion of 75 transactions, the appointment of key new partners and a £1m investment in the move to our brand-new Newcastle office at 1 Citygate.
The 75 transactions range from helping Pneuma Group acquire the Baltic’s flagship rooftop restaurant SIX as part of the group’s targeted investment campaign, to the multi-million pound and highly complex sale of BDT Care Solutions Limited to Ardenton Holdings.
We grew with the appointment of experienced corporate lawyer Jennifer Bell to our Corporate team, commercial litigation specialist Susan Roberts to our Commercial Litigation team, development and construction expert Rebecca Dawson and solicitor Luca Iannotti to our Commercial Property team, and property finance expert Jonathan Yates to our Banking team, who together with our existing commercial and banking specialists, can advise on all commercial issues including mergers, acquisitions and disposals, funding agreements and banking arrangements, joint ventures and shareholder agreements and business restructuring.
The financial year concluded with us outgrowing our former office on Dean Street and investing £1m in a move to our new state of the art collaborative workspace at 1 Citygate, complete with 60 workstations, a suite of meeting rooms and an eatery.
